Product Overview
This V1 Natural Tooling Leather is slowly vegetable-tanned at Sepici Tannery using a traditional blend of oak, chestnut, mimosa, and quebracho extracts. The leather features a natural beige tone that darkens beautifully into a warm caramel patina with age and use.
The naked full-grain surface offers excellent tooling, stamping, embossing, carving, and wet-molding performance. At 9/10 oz (3.6–4.0 mm), it provides excellent body for belts, armor, holsters, and molded goods.
Because this is a Craftsman Grade selection, the leather is best suited for:
- Practice and training projects
- Rustic, dyed/stained or vintage-style products
- Pattern nesting and smaller cut parts
- Workshops and production environments where cosmetic perfection is not required
This leather is priced accordingly and offers excellent value for makers who prioritize functionality and affordability over cosmetic appearance.
