5/6oz. V1 Veg-Tan Natural Tooling Leather – Vegetable-Tanned by Sepici
5/6oz. V1 Vegetable-Tanned Natural Tooling Leather by Sepici
A versatile mid-lightweight natural veg-tan leather, ideal for detailed tooling, dyeing, and forming. Clean surface, tight grain, and slow traditional tanning by Sepici.
Product Overview
This V1 Natural Veg-Tan Leather is slowly vegetable-tanned using Sepici’s historic blend of oak, chestnut, mimosa, and quebracho extracts. The tanning process uses natural tannic acids from tree bark and leaves, producing a warm, earthy aroma and a surface that develops a rich caramel patina.
At 5/6oz (2.0–2.4 mm), this weight is especially popular for wallets, notebook covers, small goods, cases, straps, carving projects, and wet-forming. Soft enough to work by hand, yet firm enough for clean tooling impressions.
