8/9oz. V1 Veg-Tan Natural Tooling Leather – Vegetable-Tanned by Sepici
8/9oz. V1 Vegetable-Tanned Natural Tooling Leather by Sepici
Premium natural veg-tan tooling leather with tight grain, firm temper and a clean, carving-ready surface. Slowly vegetable-tanned by Sepici using traditional plant extracts.
Product Overview
This V1 Natural Veg-Tan Leather is tanned slowly in Sepici’s pits with a proprietary blend of oak, chestnut, mimosa, and quebracho extracts. This centuries-old method utilizes the tannins naturally found in tree bark and leaves, resulting in an authentic leather with a rich, earthy aroma.
At 8/9oz (3.2–3.6 mm), this weight strikes the perfect balance: thick enough for structured projects, yet workable enough for tooling, dyeing, wet-molding, and stamping. Its natural beige tone deepens beautifully over time, developing a warm caramel patina.
