9/10oz. V1 Vegetable-Tanned Natural Tooling Leather by Sepici

Premium natural veg-tan tooling leather from Sepici — tight grain, clean surface and a firm, carving-ready temper. Ideal for heavy-weight tooling, dyeing, and wet-molding projects.

Thickness 9/10 oz (3.6–4.0 mm) 100% Vegetable-Tanned Natural, Undyed Tight Grain Structure Tooling & Molding Grade
Product Overview

V1 Natural Tooling Leather is slowly vegetable-tanned in Sepici’s pits using a proprietary blend of oak, chestnut, mimosa, and quebracho extracts. This traditional process relies on the tannic acids naturally found in tree bark, branches, and leaves, creating a dense, stable leather with a truly classic character.

The leather arrives in its natural, undyed state with a light beige tone that slowly deepens into a warm caramel patina over time. With 9/10oz (3.6–4.0 mm) thickness and a tight grain structure, it is perfectly suited for tooling, carving, dyeing, and wet molding.

  • 9/10oz heavy weight – excellent body for belts, armor, and molded goods.
  • Responds beautifully to tooling, dyeing, and wet-forming.
